Huawei launches the latest terminals to support operators boost 3G business


Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. ("Huawei") today launched its latest HSPA USB stick, 3G phones and HSDPA gateway at the industry benchmark event CommunicAsia in Singapore. This move signifies Huawei' s continuous efforts in supporting operators to boost their 3G business.

Dedicated to help operators develop mobile broadband services and thus create potentials for operators by providing Huawei also launched three chic 3G mobile phones, the U7310, U1310 and U3300. Enabling easy internet surfing with HSDPA 3.6Mps, U7310 is a modem phone with Plug & Play function. Less than 14mm thick and with a 3.6 Mbit/s downlink rate, U7310 allows its users to enjoy high speed mobile internet-browsing experience. U1310 is nominated for the 2008 Red Dot Award for its elegant and compact design. Using the U3300, music enthusiasts can enjoy and share music through an FM transmitter with this entry level slider phone. As the leading customized 3G handset supplier, Huawei provides flexible, prompt and innovative customization services to operators and thus help operator develop 3G subscribers.

To help operators develop broadband services in family scenario, Huawei also launched the HSDPA gateway B932 with an elegant and simple appearance of only 27mm thickness. Family members can enjoy high speed internet surfing, as the B932 fully supports 900/2100Mhz spectrum in the 3G (HSDPA and UMTS) modes, and full spectrum in the 2G-2.5G mode (EDGE, GPRS and GSM).

In total, Huawei has shipped over 30 million terminal products till May of 2008, including handsets, mobile broadband terminals, convergence terminals, FN-CPE and video-conferencing solutions.innovative products, Huawei highlighted its new product, the HSPA USB stick E180 with an ultra-slim shape measuring only 10mm thickness. The USB interface of E180 can be rotated by 270 degrees for protection purposes and ease of transportation. E180 supports multiple modes, including HSPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS and GSM. Its uplink rate reaches 5.76 Mbit/s while it allows a downlink rate of up to 7.2 Mbit/s. The E180, targeted at mobile internet users across all ages, will be available globally in the second half of June 2008. By now, Huawei' s mobile broadband terminals have been widely applied by more than 235 operators in over 115 countries and regions with accumulated shipments of over 12 million, ranking Huawei the No. 1 in the industry.
