The Sharp 902 UMTS phone caused quite a stir when it was launched. Now, Vodafone is presenting the new successor model, the Sharp 903, a genuine technological masterpiece. The exclusive Vodafone live! UMTS phone's most distinctive feature is its integrated digital camera with a resolution of 3.2 megapixels, autofocus, optical zoom with 2-speed function and digital 24x zoom for perfect photos. The Sharp 903 also has many innovative functions and all the features that users expect of a premium model, including mobile TV, videotelephony and convenient access to Vodafone music downloads. Users can download full-length songs to the phone from the Vodafone music portal and play them back in MP3 quality. What's more, the Sharp 903 is exclusively available from Vodafone.

Camphone or phonecam? This is a question that can quite rightly be asked in connection with the new UMTS mobile phones in the Vodafone live! range. The Sharp 903 is the only UMTS phone available in the market that can deliver photos with a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. The 2x analogue zoom lens enables flexible settings and the camera's autofocus function produces razor-sharp images. The Sharp 903 can also be used to make videoclips in all current formats and, of course, it also incorporates functions for processing and sending photos, as well as printing them on various materials. A second integrated sub-camera is used for videotelephony applications.

Not only does the Sharp 903 incorporate excellent camera technology, it is also state-of-the-art in every respect. The black and silver clamshell phone has a sophisticated design, outstanding technical features and first-rate functions. The large display with 262,144 TFT colours has a diagonal of 2.4 inches and a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.

These obviously offer the perfect prerequisites for innovative data services and all kinds of imaging services such as Vodafone Mobile TV4, which now offers 17 information and entertainment channels, videoclips and video MMS information. The image can also be enlarged to cover the entire display so that the user can watch Vodafone Mobile TV. UMTS data transmission enables fast loading times and perfectly still image sequences for greater enjoyment of the live sports broadcasts on the Eurosport mobile phone channel, for instance.

Music fans will also love the Sharp 903. This UMTS phone offers convenient access to Vodafone Music Downloads and functions as an online music shop with a high-quality playback device. Users can download their favourite song in a matter of seconds from the mobile phone portal or via the website at www.vodafone.de/music. Then, all they have to do is put on their headphones and enjoy music in a quality that surpasses many other MP3 players. It supports the sound formats of MP3, AAC, AAC+ and AAC+E.
MiniSD memory cards can also be used in the Sharp 903 to store songs and other data. The phone comes with a 63 MB miniSD card and, if other cards are used as well, the memory for user data can be extended up to one gigabyte.

Business customers will appreciate the UMTS phone for its versatility and convenience. It can be used for all the applications that enable individual information and communication management, and it transfers data at up to six times the speed of ISDN for excellent mobile working efficiency. Wireless data transmission is possible with this triband phone via infrared interface, USB and bluetooth.

The Sharp 903 can be reserved in the Vodafone Online-Shop via the Internet as from now. In conjunction with a term contract and the UMTS Per-Minute Package Plus(1) 200 or 500 tariffs, the phone only costs EUR 299.90, or EUR 339,50 coupled with the UMTS Per-Minute Package Plus 100(2).
