Vodafone K.K. announces today that on 1 August 2005 it will revise the price plans for its Vodafone
Connect Card 3G (W-CDMA) data card service to offer customers greater ease-of-use and greater
value for money.

Vodafone Connect Card is a product for use with notebook PCs, PDAs and other devices that
enables internet access anywhere. Launched in April 2004, the service is currently available on the
VC701SI (manufactured by SII) CompactFlash (Type II) data card terminal with two price plans:
Data Value Pack Super (monthly basic charge of 10,600 yen <11,130 yen including tax>) and Data
Value Pack Regular (monthly basic charge of 5,800 yen <6,090 yen including tax>).

The price plans will be revised as follows:

- For greater value, the monthly basic charge for Data Value Pack Super will stay the same,
while the free communication allowance will be increased by 75% (3,500,000 packets =
approximately 427.2MB), and
- A new price plan positioned between Data Value Pack Super and Data Value Pack Regular will
be introduced to offer more choice. For a monthly basic charge of 8,000 yen (8,400 yen
including tax), Data Value Pack Middle comes with a free communication allowance of
1,500,000 packets.

Popular among individual and business customers, Vodafone Connect Card offers high-speed
W-CDMA packet transmissions (up to 384kbps for downlinks*) as well as digital data
communications of up to 64kbps. With these new revisions, Vodafone Connect Card will be of
even greater value to customers, and the introduction of the Data Value Pack Middle will allow
customers an even higher degree of customization to suit their needs.
