Ski-jumping World Cup finals again presented on Mobitel's multimedia portal Planet; in addition to live broadcast of this year's event, the visitors of the Planet will find statements from and presentations of ski jumpers, photo-gallery from the site of the event, latest news and results, prize-winning game, wallpapers and games for mobile handsets. Mobitel UMTS coverage will be ensured in the area of Planica ski jump. The signal now already covers more than 60% of Slovenian population. The event will be accompanied by a fund raising campaign.

Mobitel's Planet portal will provide a complete overview of the event in the valley under the Ponce mountain chain to all sports and ski-jumping fans. Live coverage of ski jumps in Planica will be available via enabled mobile handsets, with statements and presentations of the competing Slovenian ski jumpers, while the Planet team will also provide updated results and overview of the latest news, as well as an attractive photo-gallery with shots of this and last years' happenings in Planica. It has also been taken care of all those who wish to embellish their mobile handsets with thematic wallpapers and games, and Planet visitors can take part in a prize winning game until Friday, 18 March. The winner will become the owner of a new Siemens mobile handset. All the information and entertainment contents of this year's World Cup in Planica will be gathered under Planica 2005 in sections Novo (New) and Sport (Sport). For the owners of UMTS mobile hadsets the presentation of the events in Planica will be even more high-quality. Slovenian national mobile telecommunications carrier will ensure that Planica is covered with UMTS signal. The latter is at the moment already covering over 60% of the population of Slovenia.

Promoting sport and supporting charity organisations
Mobitel, as a socially responsible company, has for years been supporting young talented sportsmen, including members of Ski Association of Slovenia. As the golden partner of Slovenian Nordic Team, Mobitel is also backing Slovenia's winter eagles. Among the promotion activities the company is the sponsoring Rok Benkovic, who triumphed over the competition and became the world champion at ski-jumping World Championship in Oberstdorf, Austria.

Mobitel is also launching an SMS Donation for charity organisations, which will take place in parallel with the events in Planica between 18 and 20 March. Funds will be raised by the Red Cross of Slovenia, Slovenian Karitas, and Unicef. Donations for those in need in Slovenia, Darfur, Bosnia, and Sri Lanka can be made by sending an SMS with the key word NOVIVAL to the designated number 1919. Mobitel will transfer all the funds raised to the mentioned charity organisations, while also donating all the income from the sent SMS messages in it own name.
