Vodafone is the first mobile telecommunications provider in Germany to show a full-length cinema film on 3G mobiles: "Beautiful Women" is running at the same time in selected repertory cinemas. With Vodafone Mobile TV, the film will be offered this week at a 90-minute interval right around the clock.

In the new road movie "Beautiful Women" with music from QueenBee, five women happen to meet during a casting. However, none of them gets the role of the superintendent. Nevertheless, Dana, Barbara, Kandis, Geno and Karin spend the rest of the day together at the seaside. When sitting in the car again the next morning, nothing is as it used to be... "Beautiful Women" is a dramatic comedy with lots of music. It's a story which decides about the lives of five persons in a single night - with all ups and downs.

By broadcasting a full-length cinema film, Vodafone is extending its mobile TV offering with another special feature. Watching full-length films on the display of your mobile and not merely short videos or trailers is only possible due to the speedy data transfer.

In order to watch the comedy on the 3G mobile, Vodafone customers select the category "MobileTV+Video" as usual in the Vodafone live! portal and then the channel "Mobile Cinema" which has been newly set up especially for the film. This service can only be used with a 3G-compatible mobile, a Vodafone customer contract with a 3G tariff and 3G network coverage. Vodafone is already providing 3G network coverage in 700 cities and communities.
