As of today Vodafone Netherlands expands its successful UMTS business service by making the Vodafone Mobile Connect UMTS datacard MAC compatible. This expansion now enables almost all popular laptops with the increased speeds available via the Vodafone Mobile Connect UMTS datacard. Apple MAC laptops are mainly used by professional communities such as business people, publishers, designers and photographers, and are characterised by their heavy and frequent mobile data use. The MAC compatible version of the Vodafone Mobile Connect UMTS datacard will be presented at TINE, The ICT and Networking Event, in the Amsterdam RAI tomorrow.
The Vodafone Mobile Connect UMTS datacard, specially designed to meet the needs of individuals, small businesses and large corporate customers alike, plugs into a laptop and provides a simple, integrated and secure means of accessing information and data - anytime, anywhere. The UMTS datacard delivers fast remote access to company networks, the Internet, email and other popular office applications. The service provides data speeds of up to 384 kbps - up to six times faster than a ISDN connection - and enables users to work more productively and effectively when away from the office.
With over 60% population coverage and roaming possibilities in 13 countries Vodafone offers the largest UMTS network availability in the Netherlands and abroad. When outside of UMTS network coverage, the Vodafone Mobile Connect UMTS datacard automatically switches to the GPRS network. |
