ZTE has launched the Grand X smartphone with Swisscom. Branded My
Surf pure by the Swiss operator, the mid-range Android device supports
HSPA technology with peak downlink rates of up to 21 Mbps. It operates
on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is equipped with a dual core
processor, five-megapixel camera, 4.3 inch QHD screen and 4 GB storage
(expandable to 36 GB with an external micro SD card). The smartphone is
currently available at a net price of CHF299 (US$306).
ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock
code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of
telecommunications equipment and mobile devices, has launched its
flagship device, the Grand X, with Swiss operator Swisscom. Swisscom
has branded the handset My Surf pure and is distributing the mid-range
Android device in Switzerland.
The My Surf pure handset operates on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
and houses a powerful dual core processor, 5MP camera and 4.3 inch QHD
screen. It also has 4GB internal storage which can be expanded to 36GB
with an external micro SD card. The handset is currently available from
retailers at a net price of 299 Swiss Francs.
Swisscom is offering the handset with a range of 12 month and 24
month post-paid packages including unlimited data transmission,
unlimited calls to all Swiss networks and unlimited domestic SMS and
MMS services.
The launch into the Swiss market displays ZTE’s wide reach across the
European market with its flagship product, specifically in high-end
markets such as the UK and Switzerland.

The ZTE Grand X has been launched in the UK and Turkey, and will be
launching in several European countries including Spain, Sweden, Norway
and Russia as well as Asian countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.
