3 today introduces the stylish and compact LG U8110, the latest handset to join its growing range of 3G phones. The LG U8110 boasts an array of features to enable customers to make the most of the unique benefits of the 3 video mobile network and with its chic good looks it is sure to be the phone to be seen with this summer.

The launch of the LG U8110 on the 3 network is the result of a global agreement between LG Electronics and Hutchison Whampoa. Under the agreement LG Electronics will deliver three million handsets this year to the 3 group of companies globally.

Measuring 95.7mm x 49.5mm x 23.1mm and weighing just 126g, the 'clamshell' handset is the smallest phone in the 3 range and has been designed to fit neatly into a pocket, or handbag, for the ultimate in portability and comfort.

Despite its small size the LGU8110 features a large colour screen which allows users to see their friends clearly when making video calls. The phone also features a rotating video camera which, combined with its powerful speakerphone, makes video calling and playback easier than ever.

Keen phone photographers will love the one touch camera, complete with its own light which can be used to brighten up photographs taken inside, allowing users to capture and send pictures and videos in three very simple steps.

Thanks to Quickplay video streaming, LGU8110 users can also download and play videos, such as the latest movie reviews and music videos, in seconds for entertainment on the move.

The LG U8110 is initially only available only on 3's VideoTalk, pay monthly price plans.

Gareth Jones, 3 COO said: "This new handset further enhances 3's growing portfolio of products and is a significant step forward in video mobile design. The LG demonstrates that advancements in this rapidly maturing technology are much faster than either commentators or the competition predicted. We are delighted to range the LG handset into our growing portfolio."

James Jeong, president, LGEUK comments, "LG is delighted to announce the launch of its first 3G handset the UK market in association with 3.
