3 brings Sky Sports service to video mobiles PDF Print E-mail

3 today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Sky Sports. Under the agreement Sky Sports video news and action will be available to 3 customers through their video mobiles.

The Sky Sports service, which is available now on the 3 network, will be the latest addition to 'Today on 3' the UK's first live video mobile news and entertainment channel. The service builds on 3's success with the Barclaycard FA Premier League highlights which have been so popular with customers. 3 also has a significantly enhanced range of content available for the new season, including; exclusive video match highlights, previews, archive footage and Premiership match round-ups.

The Sky Sports service will offer 3 customers the latest Sports Bulletins, top Sports News Stories, the Premier League Football News, European Tour Golf and Sky's weekly Soccer AM television show. All the video clips will be up to 2 minutes in length and will be produced and edited specifically for delivery over the 3 network and through 'Today on 3'.

With the Sky Sports video mobile service customers can either start enjoying video clips within seconds through QuickPlay, 3's video streaming service, or save the latest sports news video clip onto their video mobile and play it at their leisure.

The partnership between Sky Sports and 3 will continue to develop the style and format of sports news and content to ensure 3 customers get the best possible access to the increasing range of exciting video-based content from Sky. The agreement also includes the comprehensive range of text and information from Sky offering in-depth coverage of Football Club news for both the English and Scottish Leagues.
