TeliaSonera and Samsung Launch First LTE Laptop

TeliaSonera has unveiled its first LTE-embedded laptop, the Samsung X430. The device has a 14-inch LED-screen and battery life of eight hours. The embedded modem is LTE/WCDMA/HSPA/GSMA compatible. TeliaSonera operates LTE networks in Sweden (Stockholm), Finland (Helsinki and Turku), Denmark (Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg) and Estonia (Tallinn, Tartu and Kohila), with LTE pilots in Latvia and Lithuania.

TeliaSonera starts sale of the world’s first laptop with 4G embedded in Sweden. The laptop is a Samsung X430 with a 14 inch led-screen and has a battery durance of eight hours. The modem inside is 4G/3G/2G compatible.

TeliaSonera launched the first 4G networks in the world in Stockholm and Oslo in December 2009. Since then we have launched the first commercial 4G networks in Finland (Helsinki and Turku), and Denmark (Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg), Estonia (Tallinn, Tartu and Kohila), and carried out market pilots in Latvia and Lithuania. TeliaSonera has nationwide 4G licenses on 2.6 GHz in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Estonia and Uzbekistan.

Samsung also delivered the first 4G-modem in connection to TeliaSonera’s 4G launches in Stockholm and Oslo in 2009.
