Swisscom is launching a new data offering on 23 November 2010. With NATEL data premium, customers will in future be able to surf on the Swisscom mobile network from a laptop at up to 21 Mbps and benefit from optimised data transmission. The new subscription costs CHF 85 per month. Swisscom is also expanding its offering for NATEL easy customers, who will now benefit from attractive data packages. Swisscom is now offering all customers who want to enjoy the maximum available speed and the best surfing experience on the Swisscom mobile network a new tariff for mobile surfing. NATEL data premium enables customers to enjoy fast surfing and optimised data transmission from their laptop. The new CHF 85 per month tariff includes a data allowance of 5GB. With the new HSPA+-compatible USB modem E182E from Hauwei, NATEL data premium customers can use the mobile Internet exclusively at speeds of up to 21 Mbps. All other customers will also benefit: in future they will be able to surf on the entire Swisscom HSPA network at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps (previously 3.6 Mbps). As with a DSL line on the fixed network, with the introduction of NATEL data premium, Swisscom is now offering tariff plans for the mobile network for the first time which provide customers with various bandwidths.
Swisscom invests hundreds of millions of francs every year in its mobile infrastructure and is continually expanding its network. With HSPA+, speeds of up to 21 Mbps are already a reality. Swisscom's HSPA network now covers more than 92 per cent of the population and offers customers throughout Switzerland the best and most reliable connection, as proven in an extensive network test carried out by connect magazine (Issue 11/2010). |
