ZTE Launches a New Android Smartphone in France

ZTE has unveiled its ZTE-BLADE smartphone in France. The new device is the second Android smartphone to be marketed by ZTE in the French market. Running on the Android 2.1 Éclair OS, the device features a 3.5-inch multipoint capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480x800 pixels, a 3.2-megapixel camera, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, email, internet, video player/recorder, MP3 player and FM radio. The HSPA-enabled device incorporates a Qualcomm QCT MSM7227-1 processor and features a micro USB 2.0 port.

ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecoms equipment and network solutions, presented today its latest smartphone, the ZTE-BLADE. 

The ZTE-BLADE is the second Android smartphone to be marketed by ZTE in France. The Android 2.1 Éclair tablet phone features an attractive 3.5" multipoint capacitive touchscreen, with a resolution of 480x800 pixels.

With an ultra-slim and stylish design, the ZTE-BLADE includes a 3.2 million pixel camera,alongside other vital functionalities of contemporary smartphones such as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Email, Internet, video player / recorder, MP3 player, FM radio, etc. The phone will also be delivered with a 2GB microSD card to help users make the most of its multimedia capabilities.

ZTE's Smartphone weighs in at just 110g and includes both brightness and proximity sensors. It is embedded with a Qualcomm QCT MSM7227-1 microprocessor and a micro USB 2.0 port. The 1250 mAh battery is rated for up to 8 days’ standby time and 4 hours talk time. Web browsing is made quick and easy, making the most of the 3G network (UMTS & HSDPA).

Commenting on the launch, ZTE's Head of Mobile Terminals Department Emmanuel Rousseau said: “After the CUTE in February and the LINK in May, the BLADE is a significant new step for ZTE in France. With this smartphone, we would like to develop enthusiasm for the Android platform by providing a powerful and stylish phone at a reasonable price. This step is part of our strategy to move up-market and participate in the development of our brand in the French territory."

With the ZTE-BLADE, ZTE is expanding its offer in functionality and sophistication. ZTE now has a wider range that will let the Company strengthen its market position in France, offering to more people more efficient terminals at even more accessible prices.
