Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a leading mobile phone provider, today announced the launch of the Samsung Wave II (GT-S8530). Based on the latest edition of Samsung’s own smartphone platform, bada 1.2, the Wave II comes complete with extensive multimedia entertainment, integrated messaging and an enhanced user experience.
Samsung’s latest high-end bada handset has been designed to enable superior user-experience, its large 3.7” enhanced Super Clear LCD screen provides a stunning viewing experience so people can enjoy vibrant and expressive multimedia. By supporting multiple video formats, the handset provides universal compatibility for easy viewing of different movie file types while support for HD video recording lets people capture life unfolding with crystal-clarity. Samsung Wave II also features Social Hub which lets people view their phonebook, social networks, Instant Messenger and email together in an integrated one-page layout, whilst support for Samsung Apps means people have access to a multitude of interesting, compelling and entertaining applications and services. “Samsung’s success with the first Wave smartphone did not slow our drive to further integrate social media, rich multimedia and enhanced features, and the Wave II shows our continued commitment to delivering an innovative smartphone experience,” said Simon Stanford, Managing Director, Mobile, Samsung UK and Ireland.
