Indonesia’s Telkomsel has selected ZTE for its LTE trial. According to
the agreement, ZTE has been providing LTE solutions to roll out
Telkomsel’s LTE trial network since August 2010. ZTE is a leading
supplier for Telkomsel’s UMTS networks: with its advanced Software
Defined Radio (SDR) technology already in place, the upgrade to LTE
will be seamless, affording significant construction cost savings.
Telkomsel has more than 92 million customers in Indonesia and holds
more than 50% market share.

and network solutions, has signed an LTE trial agreement with PT.
Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel), Indonesia's largest mobile
operator. According to the agreement, ZTE has started to provide LTE
solutions to roll out Telkomsel’s LTE trial network since August 2010.
Telkomsel is a company with major shares owned by PT. Telekomunikasi
Indonesia Tbk. (Telkom), Indonesia's largest telecommunication
operator. Based on data, up until today Telkomsel has more than 92
million mobile users in Indonesia, holding more than 50% of market
share. Today, with the explosion of user data growth, network
maintenance costs have also increased exponentially.
As the leading supplier for Telkomsel’s UMTS networks, ZTE’s advanced
Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology will seamlessly upgrade the
2G/3G service to LTE, and will greatly reduce the network construction
cost for Telkomsel.
