Hrvatski Telekom (HT), part of Deutsche Telekom, has announced plans
to bring LTE technology to Croatia in cooperation with Huawei.
Initially, HT will roll out its LTE network in the region of Rijeka. In
addition, Huawei has equipped a mobile demo centre in Croatia's
capital Zagreb where it showcased advanced technological capabilities
for the provision of E2E mobile broadband. The introduction of LTE in
Croatia will improve the experience of HT’s customers of using mobile
data services.
Croatian Telecom, the leading provider of telecommunications
services, and Huawei, a company for provision of telecommunications
services and solutions, announced today their cooperation in bringing
advanced LTE (Long Term Evolution) technology to customers in Croatia.
LTE technology is a new technology for transmission of data via
broadband mobile networks. It will provide customers with a much
higher-quality experience of using the services. Croatian Telecom will
present the technology to customers in the region of Rijeka, in
cooperation with Huawei.

first-rate experience when it comes to using all mobile technology
services. We pay a special attention to network quality, availability
and speed and are the first operator in Croatia to invest its funds in
advanced LTE technology. The new technology will improve the experience
of using data services on the market even more, increase speed and
quality of Internet access and provide additional space for Croatian
Telecom to expand the portfolio of multi-media services”, said Božidar
Poldrugač, Member of the Management Board and Chief Technical and Chief
Information Officer of HT.

LTE, a fourth-generation mobile network technology, offers further
possibilities in use of the services that require high speeds of
wireless data transmission and faster access to applications such as
video content (Youtube, mobile TV etc.), network games and a number of
applications based on new Web2.0 standards.
Croatian Telecom and Huawei have been cooperating for a number of
years in the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies on the
Croatian market.
Besides, Huawei Technologies presents, for the first time, the most
advanced mobile technologies of 4G products for mobile broadband access
(MBB – MobileBroadBand). Huawei has equipped a mobile demo center in
which we will showcase the most advanced technological capabilities for
provision of E2E MBB in Zagreb, on 9 and 10 September. Huawei will
also give a demonstration of the brand new Huawei-End2End MBB services
in one place. Huawei wants to provide support in the preparation of
solutions for digital boom expected in the next ten years or so.
