KPN Partners with Pandigital for European M2M Solutions

Pandigital, the US leader in photo frames, has selected KPN to provide wireless connectivity for the Pandigital Photo Mail Frame in Europe. Pandigital will use the KPN M2M Corporate service, powered by Jasper Wireless. The Pandigital Photo Mail Frame is a next-generation, wirelessly-connected digital photo frame that displays photos emailed directly to its dedicated email address. The partnership with KPN enables Pandigital to expand across the Dutch operator’s Euroepan footprint.

KPN and Pandigital, the US leader in photo frames, have together announced that Pandigital will use the KPN M2M Corporate service, powered by Jasper Wireless, to provide wireless connectivity in the Pandigital Photo Mail Frame in Europe. The agreement includes a several year partnership for the European markets.
The first product of its kind to be available in Europe, the Pandigital Photo Mail Frame is a next-generation, wirelessly-connected digital photo frame that displays photos emailed directly to its dedicated email address. Customers can share that address with family and friends to allow them to send photos directly to the frame from their own email account – whether it’s from a computer, smart phone or any email-enabled device.

KPN will provide the email connectivity through its cellular network for the Pandigital Photo Mail frame. As a result, KPN is providing a single solution for Pandigital that can be used to address multiple markets throughout Europe.

The partnership with KPN gives Pandigital a large footprint in the European market. Pandigital already sells its Pandigital Photo Mail frame in the United States with email connectivity provided by AT&T. To combine this solution with KPN in Europe, it offers Pandigital the possibility to continue operating with the same platform and expand their footprint at the same time.

The Pandigital Photo Mail frame will be available in several countries in Europe in Q4 2010. “Pandigital is looking forward to working with KPN to deliver the Pandigital Photo Mail frame to Europe,” said Dean Finnegan, CEO and founder, Pandigital. “We’re bringing it to market to give customers a simple and affordable product that lets them share and enjoy digital images with family and friends.”

For the introduction of the Photo Mail Digital Photo Frame, Pandigital has selected KPN as their European supplier for the Machine to Machine solution.
