3 Denmark has launched mobile broadband subscriptions bundled together
with the DOVADO 3GN router. The device supports the high speeds which
3’s Danish Turbo 3G HSPA+ network can deliver, making it possible to
replace the traditional fixed broadband connection, such as ADSL. When
connected to 3’s USB modem, the router enables peak downlink speeds of
up to 16 Mbps. By connecting the 3 modem to the router's USB port, the
DOVADO 3GN can also create a WiFi zone.
Danish mobile operator “3” (Hi3G Denmark ApS) has begun selling the
DOVADO 3GN router together with its mobile broadband subscriptions. The
solution can completely and quickly replace traditional broadband such
as ADSL.
“3” has identified a lack of routers on the market that support the
high speeds which their “3” Turbo 3G (HSPA+) network can deliver. “3”
have therefore started a cooperation with DOVADO to offer their
customers the DOVADO 3GN. With the help of a USB modem from 3, it is
possible to reach up to speeds of 16Mbps. By connecting a “3” modem to
the router's USB port, the DOVADO 3GN creates a WiFi zone where
computers, smartphones, gaming consoles, and other devices can share
the same mobile broadband connection.
It is also possible to connect the devices directly by Ethernet cable
to any of the four Ethernet ports. And because it is a mobile
broadband wireless network, it is easy to bring to other locations such
as a cottage or boat.
“Combining DOVADO’s router together with our mobile broadband service,
our customers can top speeds of up to 16Mbps and enjoy a very good
alternative to ADSL, thus taking them a further step closer in freeing
them up from their traditional landline." says Stine Green Paulsen ,
Head of Corporate Communications at “3” Denmark.
The DOVADO 3GN is supplied with a USB modem from “3” along with a
EazyInternet Premium subscription for private customers, and
EazyInternet Professional for corporate customers. The solution is sold
through both 3.dk and in “3”'s own stores as of May 18th.
The DOVADO 3GN router can be firmware upgraded for the purpose of
supporting newer and faster modems as “3” introduces them to the
market.
“The agreement with “3” Denmark is a milestone for DOVADO and a
testament of our technical competence. Along with “3” Denmark, we will
transform the Danish broadband market.”, says Erik Arthur, CEO of
DOVADO.
Product Summary:
The DOVADO 3GN router is the latest addition to the DOVADO product
portfolio. Not only is the DOVADO 3GN capable of supporting the latest
entries of mobile broadband USB modems, but it can also be firmware
upgraded to support exciting new features and enhancements. Currently,
some of these unique features include the ability to remotely control
the router via simple SMS commands sent from a mobile phone; along with
the ability to be notified via SMS of any changes in either the
connection, or consumption alerts in case of nearing the monthly data
quota permitted on certain subscriptions.
Using the embedded Connection TrackerTM feature, the DOVADO 3GN is
capable of maintaining the Internet connection by monitoring the
connectivity and execute an automatic redial (in case of a network
drop) or fail-over to a secondary Internet interface. DOVADO as a
leading pioneer in the mobile broadband router market is continuously
evolving its software development in order to vessel users into the
coming releases of mobile broadband speeds.
