Cosmote Romania has launched HSPA+ network  in cooperation with its vendor partner, China’s ZTE. The new network covers 11 cities: Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca,Timisoara, Constanta, Galati, Craiova, Brasov, Moinesti, Oltenita, Orastie, as well as almost 300 localities. The operator has introduced new Connect 3G price plans, offering peak downlink speeds of up to 21.6 Mbps.

All COSMOTE Romania customers, both postpaid and prepaid, can now enjoy a new Internet experience, tailor made to their special communication needs. Residential users can benefit from a user friendly Web experience and web'n'walk portal capabilities, while business customers can add a new fast, reliable and efficient business tool, thanks to mobile broadband.

3G Tariff Plans
COSMOTE Romania's 3G mobile broadband services are available through Connect 3G programmes, the best proposition in the market for mobile Ιnternet and laptop connectivity, offering the highest data volumes at the most advantageous prices with speeds of up to 21.6 Mbps (for example 5GB for 11.9 euro/month, VAT included).
Complementary to its 3G services launch, COSMOTE also offers laptop connectivity through Connect EVDO, offering the widest coverage of high speed Internet, at speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps.

High Quality Services
Covering almost 58% of the population, the 3G network offers Internet access with high speeds of up to 21.6 Mbps.
In addition to 3G, COSMOTE offers mobile internet services with speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps on the CDMA network, utilising the largest population coverage.
Also, recently the company upgraded its existing GPRS data network to EDGE*.
