Moving towards the vision of expediting the development of new generation mobile broadband, Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories and Nokia Siemens Networks are conducting a live FDD-LTE trial in Taiwan. Nokia Siemens Networks will provide a technology pilot platform enabling Chunghwa Telecom to evaluate the natural evolution path for WCDMA. In this joint effort Nokia Siemens Networks will provide all necessary FDD-LTE equipment including core network and base stations based on commercial platform. Nokia Siemens Networks will also provide the related technical support in the pilot. The trial will bring in best of breed technology from Nokia Siemens Networks supporting Chunghwa Telecom to evolve the Taiwanese wireless data market towards a new generation mobile user experience.
