Latin American mobile group América Móvil has joined forces with Nokia to launch the Nokia Messaging mobile email service in seven countries before the end of 2009, adding email to music and maps for the ultimate mobile multimedia experience. América Móvil and Nokia will initially launch Nokia Messagingin five countries this summer. The service will be available on the WCDMA-enabled Nokia E63 and three HSDPA-enabled handsets: the Nokia E71 Black, Nokia E72 and Nokia E75.
América Móvil and Nokia announced today that they will bring a top of the line messaging experience in multiple devices to customers in Latin America. The agreement adds to the leading collaboration between both companies in music and maps, to meet the growing demand for multimedia options on mobile devices in the region.
Through this agreement, the Nokia Messaging solution will be available to América Móvil customers in seven countries before the end of the year. América Móvil is the first operator to announce a Latin America-wide offering of Nokia Messaging to its customers.

"Collaboration with Nokia in the messaging space is one of the strategies we are pursuing to drive this growth."

Through Nokia Messaging, América Móvil customers will be able to aggregate and manage multiple email accounts while on the move in a single application, using a very intuitive user interface. The Nokia Messaging solution is simple to set up and consumers can access up to 10 personal email accounts. Many users want to enjoy the flexibility of different accounts for each of their communities. With Nokia Messaging, people get the benefit of real time messaging and are able to read, send, forward and reply to emails, view subfolders, download and read attachments and also attach files to emails in real time using a Nokia device.
América Móvil and Nokia have agreed to launch Nokia Messaging first in five countries this summer with the Nokia E63, Nokia E71 Black, Nokia E72 and Nokia E75. These devices will include the license for Nokia Messaging, which will be promoted in attractive data plans together with América Móvil.
