Irish incumbent telecoms operator eircom has launched a new mobile
broadband offer, expanding its services beyond fixed broadband and
repositioning the company as an integrated provider. Using the
WCDMA/HSPA network of its mobile unit Meteor, eircom plans to offer
peak download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps for EUR19.99 initially in
Dublin, Cork, Dundalk, Drogheda, Bray, Naas and Newbridge, with over
half of the population to be covered by the end of the year.
Offering customers increased freedom and flexibility to use
broadband when and where they like outside the home eircom customers
can avail of eircom’s mobile broadband plug and play product for only
€19.99 a month. With the new offer customers will have Free access to
eircom’s WiFi in over 1,000 locations across the country as well as a
generous 10GB download allowance. Additionally customers will have
access to exclusive online content from Setanta Sports including 35
live Barclays Premier League games, 12 live FA cup games and Magners
League rugby.
With access to one of the best high speed mobile broadband
networks in Ireland, eircom mobile broadband offers download speeds of
up to 7.2Mb.

Currently eircom customers living in Dublin, Cork city, Dundalk,
Drogheda, Bray, Naas and Newbridge can avail of eircom mobile
broadband. We will be extending the coverage range to well over half
the population by the end of the year. |
