Canada’s Research in Motion (RIM) has announced the launch of the new BlackBerry Storm in Serbia in cooperation with the local mobile operator VIP mobile, part of Telekom Austria. The touch-screen multimedia device, which will run on VIP’s WCDMA/HSPA network, comes with several pre-loaded applications, including Facebook, Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ and Flickr Photo Uploader.
Vip mobile, a member of mobilkom austria group, and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today introduced the new BlackBerry® Storm™ smartphone – featuring the world’s first clickable touch-screen – to customers in Serbia. The BlackBerry Storm smartphone’s powerful platform, including exceptional multimedia and communications capabilities, gives users an edge at work and at play, providing customers with personalized entertainment, information and communications at their fingertips. Purpose built for Vodafone and its partners, the BlackBerry Storm smartphone will be available in Vip mobile centers across Serbia. The price starts from RSD1 including a 1GB data package on a 24 month contract.
