Orange has expanded its mobile broadband product offerings with the UK launch of two new laptops and a dongle device aimed at consumers. The operator will add the HP Compaq Mini 700 and Toshiba L300 to its ‘connected’ range, which will be available on a 2-year contract for £30 and £35 per month respectively. The new Huawei E160e dongle with 8GB memory will work in conjunction with Orange’s Internet Everywhere service.
Connected Laptops Building on a commitment to offer all in one packages that makes it easier for consumers to get online, Orange today announced the HP Compaq Mini 700 and Toshiba L300 will be added to its ‘connected’ range. So now, whether it’s portability or fully fledged laptop functionality you require – Orange has it all. Available on 24 month contracts, the two new offers allow consumers to choose a device that suit their needs, whilst still getting the great benefits of internet access - without the need to pay the full price upfront.
New Dongle Orange also announced today the availability of the Huawei E160e dongle in black, white and pink. Working in conjunction with Orange’s Internet Everywhere service, The Huawei E160e has been designed to also act as a memory stick with space for an up to 8GB micro SD card - so customers can store their data inside and keep their photos, music and films with them whilst on the move. Speaking on the announcement, Asif Aziz, Director of Broadband and Home, Orange UK said: "We always aim to offer customers a flexible solution that works around them and the lifestyle they choose, and believe the new devices we’ve launched today do just that. We will continue to build on these offerings throughout 2009 so as to ensure our customers benefit from one of the most competitive portfolios for mobile broadband in the UK”. Orange was voted number one by consumers for overall mobile broadband service quality and best network, in an independent research poll conducted by YouGov in 2008, and with the largest integrated mobile data network in the UK, Orange now offers three connected laptops in its consumer product line. |
