Belgian wireless technology company Option has started shipping HSPA-based wireless router to mobile operators, distributors and resellers. Featuring the Qualcomm 7225 chipset, the GlobeSurfer III router creates an instant WiFi hotspot, enabling multiple users to share the same HSPA mobile broadband connection. The USB device offers HSUPA-based peak upload speeds up to 5.76 Mbps and download speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. The GlobeSurfer III reiterates the role of wireless broadband as a real alternative to DSL.

Offering businesses and households a versatile communications hub that creates an instant Wi-Fi hotspot the GlobeSurfer III enables multiple users to share a superfast HSPA broadband connection.
 
A USB interface turns the GlobeSurfer III into a central hub: connecting an external hard disk drive via the device's USB interface allows users to share or back-up important files to a central storage system; multimedia files such as MP3's or AVI's can be streamed across the Wi-Fi network; a central printer can be shared by all members of the household or business.
