T-Mobile launches the Mobile Broadband Share Dock to share your internet connection

Mobile Broadband Share Dock, the Mobile Broadband device that lets people share their mobile internet, hits shops this week, giving people great value mobile broadband they can take and share.

Available free on an 18 month contract, the Share Dock lets people share their high speed Mobile Broadband. Acting like a fixed line wireless router with any WiFi-enabled laptop, the Share Dock allows two or three users to use the same Mobile Broadband stick simultaneously, and adopts the same easy to use plug-in-and-play approach as the rest of T-Mobile’s Mobile Broadband products.

Richard Warmsley, Head of Internet and Entertainment at T-Mobile UK, said Mobile Broadband has experienced huge growth across the market.  And as its popularity grows, we engage with our customers to continually improve and provide them with exactly the service they want. One of the key insights that came back from users was the desire to share the connection with friends and relatives. The Share Dock makes this a reality in a straight forward and simple way.

To make sure its customers have the best possible experience with its Mobile Broadband products and services, T-Mobile recommends that Share Dock is used by up to three users at a time. T-Mobile has also secured this with a password, ensuring that WiFi thieves can’t connect to and disrupt the service.

The Share Dock device is exclusive to T-Mobile in the UK, and comes with a mobile broadband stick on a £20 a month tariff, with a 3GB fair use allowance.
