P&T today launched its first UMTS mobile telephony services, in accordance with its UMTS license awarded in May 2002.

At the beginning, the UMTS network of P&T covers the two principal agglomerations of the country which are Luxembourg-City and the Esch-S-Alzette.

The 3G technology was supplied by Siemens and allows fast access to the internet and video-telephony between mobile terminals.
