Vodafone launches the world's smallest mobile broadband modem as a stick
www.vodafone.com

Today, a year after the introduction of the plug and play USB modem for mobile internet on the laptop, Vodafone Netherlands introduces this mobile broadband modem as USB stick. The stylish 'Mobile Broadband USB stick E172' is the world’s smallest modem for mobile internet on the laptop currently available.

Since October 2006, Vodafone's HSDPA network enables customers to use mobile internet on their laptop with the same user experience as with a fixed pc. Vodafone's HSDPA network is currently available for over 90% of the Dutch population. And, Vodafone is the only operator always offering users the highest available network speed, regardless of which subscription they have. In the 'Randstad' and in many other places, the download link is currently up to 3.6 Mbps.

The introduction of the 'Mobile Broadband USB stick E172' is announced shortly after Vodafone's new data tariffs for mobile internet on the laptop. The tariffs are effective since last January 3 and are up to 50% lower than the old tariffs for domestic use and internationally even 85% cheaper. The stick fits in every USB port and automatically installs the necessary software. Therefore, users can always and everywhere access the internet on their laptop. The stick is suitable for network speeds up to 7.2 Mbps downlink and 2.0 Mbps uplink.

The Mobile Broadband USB stick is now available via vodafone.nl/shop/zakelijk. Without a subscription, the stick costs EUR 149.- (ex. VAT).
