Option N.V., the wireless technology company, today unveiled its smallest HSDPA USB device so far at the Mobile Asia Congress in Macau, China. The iCON 225 is the Company’s response to the growing market demand for very small yet high-performance wireless connectivity solutions focused on consumer and prosumer segments. Option’s new iCON 225 is an HSDPA device, specifically aimed at mass market business. HSDPA is the world’s most commonly used 3G network technology. The device is already shipping to operator customers. Small, light and fast wireless device Measuring only 63 x 26 x 13 mm and just weighing 40 g, the iCON 225 is Option’s most compact HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) USB wireless modem to date. Offering data rates of up to 7.2 Mbps, the device can download an MP3 music file in five seconds or a YouTube video in a minute.
