Mobitel to lower EU rates as early as this summer PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 05 July 2007

This summer, Mobitel will offer lower rates for mobile services in countries of the European Union, opting for the user-friendly approach. The first Euro tariffs will apply as early as 1 August 2007.

As of 1 August, Mobitel’s users will be able to benefit from the new Euro tariff. The Euro tariff will be automatically activated for all Mobi users on 1 August, while subscribers will have the opportunity to communicate their decision to the operator. For subscribers who fail to do so, Mobitel will activate the tariff automatically on 30 August 2007.

Mobitel GSM/UMTS users can choose the Euro tariff by sending an SMS message with the word EVROTARIFA to the number 1919, by visiting the nearest Mobitel Center, or by compiling a form available on the website.

Based on its subscribers’ decisions, Mobitel will activate the Euro tariff as soon as possible, or within one month at the latest. For users whose request for the Euro tariff activation is received before the end of July, Mobitel will enable the service in advance, or as early as 1 August. Mobitel will activate the Euro tariff automatically on 30 August 2007 for all subscribers who do not communicate their decision.

A new roaming price list with lower rates for EU countries will be published on Mobitel’s website in July, and subscribers will receive useful information with their monthly invoices in August. For more information, users can contact the Customer Care Center or visit one of Mobitel’s Centers.

Klavdij Godnič, Mobitel’s Executive Manager, said: “I am pleased to announce that as early as this summer, Mobitel’s users will be able to benefit from lower rates in countries of the European Union. We have decided for a user-friendly approach that guarantees lower prices for our users at an early stage.”
