Real internet at up to 1.8 Mbps for a fixed fee of EUR 9.50 a month

As of today, Vodafone Netherlands is extending Vodafone live! with high-speed full internet access on the mobile phone for EUR 9.50 a month. Customers will be able to search the entire internet using Google Search enhanced for Vodafone live! or via a Startpagina link. In addition a revolutionary networkoptimiser will compress internet pages to give a better customer experience.

The Vodafone live! homepage has been upgraded to give the easiest access to the entire internet, plus the best information, music, TV and games content from Vodafone live! and other made-for-mobile sites. The enhanced search capability from Google is unique in giving one-click access to all results from all of these sources, whilst the one-click access to Startpagina means it couldn't be more convenient to access the internet from your mobile.

New and existing handsets
A revolutionary optimiser built into the Vodafone Netherlands network, as of mid June, compresses internet pages to deliver them faster to the customer, both on new and existing handsets. Many important features of internet sites stay intact and it translates the internet experience on the PC into an optimum internet experience on the mobile phone.

Speed and costs
The Vodafone tariff plan does not make any distinctions based on speed giving customers the highest possible speed that the Vodafone network offers and the mobile device can process. The newest HSDPA handsets will enjoy a 1.8Mbps download speed now that the HSDPA network is rolled out to over 90% of the Netherlands. With the flexible Vodafone BloX concept customers can opt for a Carefree Mobile Internet BloX of EUR 9.50 a month. The BloX can be switched on and off on a monthly basis, pending customers needs.
