Croatian mobile service provider VIPnet, an 80% subsidiary of mobilkom austria, today presented Croatia's first national 3G test network to the public. "We began with preparations for 3G in 2001. With this 3G test network, we are proving our position as Croatia's leader when it comes to innovations", says Josef Vinatzer, CEO VIPnet. Mr. Vinatzer carried out four 3G video calls in Croatia (Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, Split) with well-known Croatian personalities, for example tennis star Goran Ivanisevic. This morning an international 3G video call took place between the CEO of VIPnet in Zagreb and Dr. Boris Nemsic, CEO mobilkom austria and COO Wireless Telekom Austria, in Vienna.
