The Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) was established on 1 December 2002. ComReg is led by three commissioners.

ComReg is the statutory body responsible for the regulation of the electronic communications industry (telecommunications, radiocommunications and broadcasting) and the postal sector.  We are the national regulatory authority for these sectors in accordance with EU law which is subsequently transposed into Irish legislation.
