Sony selects Option's HSDPA embedded wireless module
Option N.V., the wireless technology company, today annouced that it is supplying its GTM378 HSDPA embedded wireless module to Sony Corporation, revealing the name behind the earlier announced design win.
Ericsson and Elisa first in Nordic region to launch HSPA on the uplink
Ericsson and Finnish operator Elisa have successfully launched HSPA on the uplink in Elisa's 3G network. HSPA on the uplink (also known as Enhanced Uplink or HSUPA) allows data transfer speeds of 1.4 Mbps, more than three times the speed of traditional 3G networks.
