| TeliaSonera First with LTE in Denmark TeliaSonera has commercially launched its LTE network in Denmark, covering four major cities: Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg. The LTE service is available for DKK399 (US$70.50) per month. The operator has an aggressive LTE rollout plan and expects to cover 75% of the Danish population during 2011. TeliaSonera offers LTE services in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and now Denmark. |

| Aircel selects Nokia Siemens Networks for 3G deployment Indian operator Aircel has selected Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to supply, deploy and manage its HSPA+ network in three telecommunication circles (Punjab, Kolkata and the rest of West Bengal). NSN will supply its compact Flexi Base Stations and Radio Network Controller, as well as a full suite of advanced Quality of Service features. The vendor will also provide a future-proof mobile packet backbone network, security services and its multi-vendor network management and optimisation software NetAct. |

| ZTE Wins US$85 Million UMTS Contract with India's Aircel ZTE has won a US$85 million UMTS contract with Indian operator Aircel. ZTE will build and deploy an advanced SDR-based 3G network for the mobile service provider. In addition to implementing the new 3G network, the vendor is also responsible for a 2G network upgrade and subsequent 3G upgrades. The new 3G network will be based on ZTE's SDR (unified 2G/3G/HSPA/HSPA+) platform, which enables multiple modes in a single base-station, as well as a smooth transition toward next generation technologies, such as LTE. |

| Elisa Opens Finland's First Corporate 4G Network to Be Used by Nokia Siemens Networks Finnish operator Elisa has inaugurated its corporate LTE network in Espoo. Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) is the first corporate user that will use the mobile broadband network for its virtual meetings. The network will enable, for example, HD-quality video conferencing with a mobile device or utilising Elisa’s cloud services outside the office. The corporate LTE network is a step ahead before a wider scale rollout of LTE services in Finland. Elisa started testing the LTE network together with NSN in early 2010. The operator has one million active mobile broadband users on its 3G network. |

| Arqiva and Alcatel-Lucent Trial LTE for Rural Broadband in UK Alcatel-Lucent and Arqiva have jointly begun an LTE trial in the Preseli Mountains in West Wales, an area that combines low population density with dispersed communities. The trial is aimed at demonstrating the economic and technical viability of a neutral-host wireless network as a model to extend high-speed broadband internet coverage to the last digitally-excluded 10% of UK households. The trial, which uses the 800 MHz spectrum freed up by digital TV switchover in the area, has demonstrated that the network can deliver speeds of over 50 Mbps. |

| Russia’s MegaFon Taps Alcatel-Lucent to Build Siberia’s Largest 2G/3G Converged Network Alcatel-Lucent has deployed 2G/3G converged network in Siberia for Russian operator MegaFon. Based on Alcatel-Lucent’s converged radio access network (RAN) solution, the network extends 3G services to the Siberian Federal District of Altai Krai, covering more than 2.5 million people. The development also paves the way for the future introduction of LTE technology. |

| Nokia Siemens Networks and Orange Armenia Modernize the Network for HD Voice and Higher Speed Internet Orange Armenia has expanded high definition (HD) voice services across itsentire network, and rolled out HSPA technology to the country’s main cities, delivering peak downlink rates of up to 14.4 Mbps. The equipment was provided by Nokia Siemens Network (NSN), Orange Armenia’s core and access network supplied. NSN has accomplished radio equipment, mobile packet core products and mobile softswitch upgrades for Orange Armenia. |

| ZTE V9 Pad Exclusively by COSMOTE Greek operator COSMOTE has exclusively unveiled the ZTE V9 Pad. It is available for free with the new COSMOTE Internet On The Go 10GB +Laptop 24-month contract at EUR40.31 per month. Without the contract, it retails at EUR349. The ZTE V9 Pad is equipped with HSPA connectivity, promising peak downlink speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. |

| Cinterion Launches New PH8 Flagship Module with HSPA+ for Machine-to-Machine Communication Cinterion, the cellular machine-to-machine (M2M) communication solutions provider, has launched its new flagship HSPA+ M2M module, the PH8. The new module enables easier integration of data rich M2M applications like streaming video on outdoor billboards, mobile medical monitoring applications, video surveillance solutions and Industrial PDAs. Psion Teklogix, the supplier of ruggedized handheld computers, is the first manufacturer to announce integration of the PH8 in its new Psion EP10, an industrial PDA scheduled for a commercial release in 2011 |

| Turkcell Introduces “Dual Carrier” Technology to Turkey and Doubles Mobile Internet Speed Turkish mobile operator Turkcell has announced plans to upgrade its network with Dual Carrier HSPA+ technology. Enabling use of two frequency channels at the same time, the technology will support peak downlink rates of up to 42 Mbps. Turkcell expects that the upgrade will drive mobile broadband internet revenues as demand for smartphones and data usage at higher speeds increases. |
