| China Mobile Prepares to Launch Converged Multimedia Apps China Mobile has selected Nokia Siemens Networks’ IMS platform and Multimedia Telephony App Server. NSN will implement its IMS Core platform, hiQ MMTel application server and Session Border Controller (SBC). This enables the operator to introduce IMS-based applications like Multimedia Telephony (MMTel) on top of traditional voice services across fixed, mobile and internet connections. Network and device agnostic IMS-based multimedia applications are part of China Mobile’s converged communications strategy. |

| T-Mobile Czech Republic: Significant Price Cuts on Data Plans T-Mobile Czech Republic has introduced new data tariff plans and mobile broadband bundles, significantly reducing existing prices. The new Internet v mobilu Standard, Klasik and Premium bundles, which are the successors to the Surf+, Surf&Mail+ and Internet+ plans, start at CZK110 (US$5.70), at CZK178.80 and CZK399 respectively (including VAT). The Internet na cesty Standard and Premium plans start from CZK399 and CZK999 respectively. The new plans can be used with any available data technology within the T-Mobile network, including WCDMA/HSPA. |

The trial measured key TD-LTE functionalities, RF performance, operation, administration and management (OAM) capabilities, interface conformity, hardware readiness and backhaul capability. |

| Texas Energy Network First to Deploy LTE Technology to Oil and Gas Industry; Major Demonstration Scheduled for New Mexico Oilfield Texas Energy Network (TEN) is to deploy LTE in the oil and gas industry in cooperation with Alcatel-Lucent. TEN and Alcatel-Lucent are demonstrating the technology in New Mexico with a live LTE network initially supporting 1 Mbps data uplink speeds. TEN will use LTE as the core technology behind a national wireless broadband network designed around the needs of remote critical infrastructure companies. Potential applications include transmitting data from an oil site sensor or live video images from a monitoring camera on a pipeline. |

| Nokia Debuts 'Touch and Type' Design with the Latest Nokia X3 Nokia has unveiled its X3 Touch and Type smartphone, which features a novel combination of touchscreen and traditional twelve-button keypad. Only 9.6-mm thin, the Nokia X3 Touch and Type features 3G HSPA 10.2 Mbps, WLAN, music player, FM radio, 5-megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom and digital video recording. The mid-range device will be available in the third quarter and will retail for approximately EUR125 (US$160), excluding taxes and subsidies. |

| Pocket-Sized HTC ARIA™ Debuts In Hong Kong HTC has launched its HTC Aria smartphone in Hong Kong, with SmarTone-Vodafone as its exclusive operator partner. The HSDPA 7.2 Mbps device features a five-megapixel camera and a bright 3.2 inch HVGA display. Aria is powered by the Android operating system and the HTC Sense user interface. | LightSquared Delivers Notice To Inmarsat Triggering Re-Banding Of L-Band Radio Spectrum In North America LightSquared, the US’s first wholesale mobile broadband and satellite provider, backed by private equity fund Harbinger Capital Partners, has started to implement Phase 1 of its agreement with the UK’s satellite operator Inmarsat. The move will give LightSquared access to L-band spectrum, enabling the new operator to deploy its LTE integrated terrestrial and satellite mobile broadband network with greater operational flexibility. |
