| SFR Rides High on HSPA+ France’s SFR has partnered with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to conduct the country’s first HSPA+ mobile broadband trial. HSPA+ technology enables peak downlink rates of up to 28 Mbps. NSN supplies SFR with its energy-efficient Flexi Multiradio base station technology, which provides higher broadband throughput and enables a transition to HSPA+ and LTE with simple software upgrades.SFR’s existing HSPA network supports data speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps. |

| Nokia Siemens Networks Receives Service Contract from O2 Germany for Continued Service Quality Telefónica O2 Germany has selected Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) for a large services contract in an effort to expand its network capacity across Germany. The move will further prepare Telefónica O2 Germany for continuing future data traffic growth. NSN is already Telefónica O2’s 3G technology partner in the northeast and western areas of Germany. |

| Dell and Telefónica Form Strategic Alliance to Deliver Innovative Connectivity and Communications Solutions Spain’s Telefónica has formed a strategic alliance with PC maker Dell to jointly develop future products and services that will enhance the user’s mobile broadband data experiences. The joint venture aims to meet the growing demand for “pervasive, instant-on, web-connected devices”. The alliance with Telefónica is part of Dell’s strategy to focus on developing smart mobile products and services. It expands the vendor’s partner operator base following last year’s deals with China Mobile, America Movil and AT&T for its Android-powered Mini 3 smartphone. |

| HTC Unveils Enhanced HTC Sense Experience on New Android Smartphone HTC has unveiled an enhanced version of its HTC Sense user interface, which will be available on the new Android-powered HTC Legend smartphone. The HTC Legend features a new HTC application and widget called Friend Stream that seamlessly aggregates all of your social communication, including Facebook, Twitter and Flickr into one organized flow of updates. It can also organize your contacts into specific social circles, such as groups of friends, colleagues. The HSPA-enabled HTC Legend features a 3.2 inch, AMOLED HVGA display. |

| Taiwan Takes a Giant Leap towards LTE Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and Chunghwa Telecom have jointly begun a live FDD-LTE (frequency division duplex LTE) trial in Taiwan. For the trial, NSN is providing commercial platforms for FDD-LTE, including core network and base stations. The trial will enable Chunghwa Telecom to evaluate the technology as a natural evolution path for WCDMA. NSN is Chunghwa Telecom’s existing WCDMA supplier. |

| Social Networking and Messaging Brought to Life with the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 Nokia has unveiled two new mid-range smartphones: Nokia C6 and Nokia E5, which feature enhanced messaging and social networking tools at affordable prices. The new devices are equipped with full QWERTY keyboards and enable users to access a range of different email accounts, IM communities and social networks directly on the home screen. At an estimated price of EUR220, the Nokia C6 is an HSPA 7.2 Mbps Symbian-based smartphone featuring a 3.2 inch touch screen with a full slide out keyboard. Priced at EUR220, the Nokia E5 enables peak downlink rates of up to 10.2 Mbps and is aimed at business professionals. |

| Microsoft Ushers in the Next Generation of the Social Phone with KIN, a New Windows Phone Microsoft has launched two new Windows smartphones, branded the KIN ONE and KIN TWO, which are aimed at social networking users. Manufactured by Sharp, both phones feature a touch screen and slide-out keyboard. ONE is small and compact, making it a perfect fit for a pocket and to operate with one hand, while TWO has a larger screen and keyboard, as well as more memory, a higher resolution camera, and the ability to record high-definition video. KIN will be on sale to European customers this autumn from Vodafone in Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. |

| TELUS Investing CA$250 Million in Quebec This Year to Expand Advanced Broadband Services Canada’s Telus intends to invest CA$250 million (US$249 million) in Quebec in 2010 as part of its plans to expand its advanced fixed and mobile broadband services. Since 2000, Telus has made more than CA$7.6 billion in operating and capital investments in Quebec. Telus' new HSPA+ wireless network enables speeds of up to 21 Mbps and reaches 93% of Canada's population. |
