| LG Enters the Android Market LG Electronics (LGE) has launched its first Android-powered mobile handset, the LG InTouch Max GW620, which will be available in the UK from T-Mobile UK and Virgin Media. The HSPA-enabled smartphone features a 5-line touchscreen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera, a 3-inch touchscreen, as well as the built-in Linkbook Social Networking Manager application. It also offers access to over 20,000 applications available on the Android Market. |

| DOCOMO to Launch Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Handset in Japanese Market NTT DoCoMo will launch Sony Ericsson’s Android-based HSPA-enabled smartphone, the Xperia (known as the Xperia X10 outside Japan), in April. The device features Qualcomm’s 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, a 4.0-inch touchscreen 8.1 megapixel camera and WiFi connectivity, as well as signature Sony Ericsson Timescape social media application application. Coinciding with the Xperia launch, DoCoMo will also unveil its new “docomo market" mobile web portal for smartphone users. |

| Verizon Wireless Chooses Spirent to Provide Testing Solutions For The Certification Of LTE Devices Verizon Wireless has selected Spirent Communications to provide testing solutions for the certification of devices that will operate on the US operator’s upcoming LTE nationwide network. The contract covers Spirent's hardware, test and system simulators and software for test automation. Verizon plans to roll out LTE technology using the 700 MHz C-Block spectrum by the end of 2010. |

| 3 Scandinavia First with World's Fastest 3G Network 3 Scandinavia has selected Ericsson to upgrade its Danish and Swedish networks to allow maximum downlink speeds of up to 84 Mbps, realising the full capabilities of HSPA+ technology. Under the three-year contract, Ericsson is also responsible for deployment of Sweden’s first WCDMA/HSPA radio access network using the 900 MHz frequency band to boost coverage for 3’s customers indoors and in remote areas. The rollout is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2010. |

| ARCEP Publishes an Executive Summary of the Public Consultation on the Future Award of Spectrum Licences in the 800 MHz and 2.6 GHz Frequency Bands, for the Deployment of Ultra High-Speed Mobile Networks French telecoms regulator ARCEP has released a summary of the public consultation on the planned award of mobile broadband licences in the 800 MHz and 2.6 Mhz spectrum. As a next stage, ARCEP will publish preliminary scenarios for licence allocations in these bands. The regulator will also launch an industry consultation in an effort to set terms for the allocation procedures for 800 MHz and 2.6 Mhz spectrum in the second half of 2010, once remaining spectrum in the 2.1 GHz band has been allocated. For several months, ARCEP has been engaged in efforts to develop high-speed and ultra high-speed mobile networks in France, in accordance with the spectrum strategy announced by the Prime Minister on 12 January 2009. |

| Motorola Introduces MOTOROI, South Korea's First Smart Phone Powered by Android 2.0 Motorola has unveiled its Android-powered MOTOROI 3G smartphone for the South Korean market. The WCDMA device features Google’s Android 2.0 operating system, 3.7 inch WVGA touchscreen display, 8-megapixel camera, 720p HD video capture, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) out, as well as support for T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) mobile TV. It will be available from SK Telecom starting from February 2010.. |

| M1 Looks at 35% Reduction in Carbon Footprint in Singapore; LTE Trial in February Singapore’s M1 has announced its plans to commence a two-month LTE trial in February 2010 in cooperation with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN). As part of the trial, NSN will deploy its Flexi Multiradio Base Stations, which enhance network coverage and capacity, while significantly reducing site power consumption. NSN will also provide its Evolved Packet Core (ECP) nodes, mobile softswitching and subscriber data management core network solutions, plus its NetAct network management system. |
