Sonofon, a leading mobile operator in Denmark is upgrading its existing WCDMA 3G network with High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technology from Nokia Siemens Networks.
At the end of November Mobitel commercially introduced an advanced fixed-mobile convergence service called m:stik. The service makes it possible for users to save significantly when using mobile services abroad.
Mobile media company 3 announces the launch of its new Non Stop Music offering. This service gives customers unlimited access to eight genre-based music streams, ranging from dance to classic for just 49 pence for 24 hours.
Ericsson has been selected by leading operator 3 to develop and host its award-winning mobile music service, 3Music, in Sweden and Denmark.
Ericsson has signed a frame agreement with Mobile TeleSystems OJSV (MTS), Russia's leading mobile operator, to supply and deploy a 3G/HSPA network.
KT Freetel Co., Ltd. and NTT DoCoMo, Inc. today announced that they have agreed to jointly invest in U Mobile Sdn Bhd, a new Malaysian 3G mobile operator that is scheduled to launch commercial service in 2008.
Mobile operator 3 has added 150 new locations to its portfolio this year, bringing its distinct brand of mobile phone and broadband retailing to 250 high streets and shopping centres across the UK.
