The UMTS Forum Work Programme is carried out by its members in a number of Working Groups:

In addition to these Working Groups, other UMTS Forum activities are progressed by Project Teams, Task Groups and members' sector specific interests are overseen by the manufacturers', operators' and regulators' sector groups.

Current activities in these other groups include further work on the Market Study, investigation of issues related to Numbering and Addressing, progressing the UMTS Forum's goals regionally in Latin America and South-East Asia, and promotion of UMTS in the investment community through business briefings.
